GoodPartner.my started as a group chat. Somebody would ask what to do for an anniversary, or what to send a friend who had a bad month, and the same four good answers would come back every time. Eventually we started writing them down.
That notebook is this site. Ideas for your partner, your family, your friends, the people you work with, and whoever else is currently somewhere in between. Each one is small enough to actually do this week.
Alongside it we keep MakerIndex, a running list of small Malaysian studios, bakeries and florists who can make the thing you have in mind. If we point you at a gift, we'd rather point you at a person.
An idea is only useful if you can picture doing it on a Tuesday. If it needs a big budget or a big speech, it doesn't go in.
Where there's a Malaysian maker doing the thing well, we send you to them before we send you to a mall.
Everything here is picked and written by hand. We use tools to help us search, never to fill the page.
We add studios by hand, usually because someone told us about them. Send us a name and we'll go have a look.
